Born in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zemira Maslesa started working early at age of 18
in Music School in her birthplace Banja Luka and in Bosanska Gradiska. After leaving war torn birthplace of Banja Luka and residing in refugee camp in Croatia, Zemira Maslesa moved to Las Vegas, USA. Zemira Maslesa has lived and worked
in the USA since 1996.
After graduating with Double Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance and Music Composition and theory at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), she continued to work as Adjunct Piano Faculty
at School of Music at UNLV.
Zemira Maslesa established Bosnia International Music Festival (BIMF), first international classical music festival in postwar Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2005. While doing BIMF Zemira Maslesa established first master classes for students at university, first music kids camp, first film music program for international and Sarajevo's university students, first world music composition competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, just to name a few educational founders accomplisments.
Simultaneously Zemira Maslesa maintainted her private piano studio in Las Vegas.
Zemira Maslesa's experience and education have taught her great skills needed for great music teacher, educator and pedagogue.
Currently, Zemira Maslesa is accepting new
piano and music composition students.
